There's been a thread or 2 about Chameleon armor requests ie: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3414435-chameleon-armor-flash-fix-mod/
The 2 main annoyances are the pip boy becomes unusable and weapon sites essentially become unusable when the 'chameleon' armor effect procs A mod that allows the pip boy and any equipped weapon to remain visible as normal but still retain the existing game-play effect of 'chameleon' armor would be extremely welcome. Screenshot of what a weapon sights look like with chameleon attached. Thanks! Attached Files
If I equip multiple pieces of chameleon legendary armour, will they have a greater effect than just a single piece?

Fallout 4 Walkthrough4 AnswersYes - legendary item effects stack across multiple pieces of armor.
As discussed here on the Fallout Wikia page for Legendary Armor Effects (my emphasis):
Legendary effects can be added to items by dropping them on the ground and using the console command 'attachmod' while having them selected, followed by the mod ID. You can't stack several mods on a single item, but you can stack over multiple pieces (armor). You can also replace a mod with another one via console.
This means that if you have multiple pieces of armor with the same legendary effect, these will stack together.

I can't comment because I have less than 50 rep so I have to post an answer.
Each piece that has chameleon confers a +20 bonus to stealth. With 5 pieces you get a total of +100 to your ability to remain hidden.
More information:
The Chameleon armor effect (ench_mod_LegendaryArmor_Chameleon) has a magnitude of 20 in the creation kit.
Through testing today I can personally confirm that multiple pieces being equipped in succession can increase your ability to remain hidden and even go from the Danger to Caution state and back as they are equipped and unequipped. Jasmuheen food of gods pdf.

Armor in Fallout 4 protects the player from damage in the Wasteland. There are also Legendary Armor in the game that are dropped from Legendary Enemies.
Armor can be customized by applying Armor Mods. Generally, save for a few exceptions, Armor pieces in Fallout 4 can be categorised into 5 main types: Combat, Leather, Metal, Raider and Synth. In addition, each armor comes in up to 3 different qualities -- Standard, Sturdy and Heavy. ( Armor Mods are not affected. You can use the same Armor Mods that you used on Standard to a Heavy quality armor of same type.) Each piece of armor is equipped separately, so you can pick a combination that suits you best. Below, you can see each piece of armor broken down by where it is worn. Armor
Power Armor is Armor in Fallout 4 that is an energized suit. It requires great Strength in order to be able to use and needs a Fusion Core to power it. When a Fusion Core is depleted, you may continue to use the Power Armor in a slower state. If you have another Fusion Core in your inventory when depleting the current one, the Power Armor will automatically consume it.
While wearing Power Armor your carry weight and resistances are much higher but you move more slowly. But you are still able to sprint and jump and buildings can also be entered easily while wearing it. You are even immune to fall damage while wearing the suit. ( Note: Power armor can be stolen. While wearing Power Armor you lose any bonuses from other armor items. You can sneak and fast travel while in Power Armor. Power Armor can be damaged, and needs frequent repairs.) Power Armor is composed of three elements – a frame, six individual modules (four limbs, torso and head), and a fusion core to power it. You’ll need all three to get anywhere. You can even apply different Mods to Power Armor at any Power Armor Station found throughout the Commonwealth to upgrade their base stats. The mods you apply to them determine their models( e.g Modding a T-45 may give you a T-45a ). Select a Power Armor set below to see the parts needed, where to find them and the stat-boosts given by its various mods. Fallout 4 Chameleon Armor Pip BoyPower ArmorPower Armor Pieces
Power Armor Locations
You can see the locations for each power armor set on its respective page. However, what armor and parts you encounter is dependent on your character Level. At lower levels you will only encounter T-45 and then T-51 armor as you are closer to Level 15. At the higher levels (Level 28+), you will have a better chance at finding the elusive X-01 Power Armor. As for T-60 Power Armor, it is most commonly obtained through Factions such as the Brotherhood of Steel.
